Our Journey: OWNED BY THE SAME FAMILY SINCE 1995
1995
Scrub Hub, originally known only as Workin' Man Inc., was founded April 1, 1995, by Barry and Cande Kidd. They started the company from the ground up, forming it with integrity and lots of prayer. Barry & Cande worked day and night to provide for their family of three boys who all later worked or are currently working in the business. Barry and Cande now serve as senior pastors at Lighthouse Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.
2000
After the Donelson store was up & running we then started our second location in 2000 in Murfreesboro. Jacob Kidd, Barry & Cande's first son, served as the store manager from 2000 to 2010. He went back to Lee University & finished his college degree & is now back at Scrub Hub serving as the COO & enjoys running the day-to-day business within our five locations.
2002
In 2002 Scrub Hub purchased a third location in Tullahoma where it was located until 2010. We then moved that location to downtown Nashville on Church Street where we have & will continue to enjoy serving our customers.
2009
In 2009 we started our fourth location in Gallatin & we moved that location to Lebanon in July 2012. That location was moved to Hendersonville in September of 2020. Since we have moved to Hendersonville we have enjoyed meeting customers and we are excited to serve Sumner County with quality products & fantastic customer service.
2019
On July 1st, 2019 Scrub Hub opened its fifth location in Cookeville Tennessee. We absolutely LOVE being a part of the Putnam County business community & our customers have expressed to us how grateful they are to us that we are now serving their community.
2022 & Beyond
We are a very forward-driven company & we are always looking to expand & improve our business practices to ultimately serve you the customer. We hope to see you in one of our stores soon!
Giving Back
At Scrub Hub we believe in giving back to our community and to others whenever possible. That is why we have partnered with Reaching360 & YoungLife. Through these programs, we have been able to expand our reach far beyond what we could have ever done on our own, and thanks to you, our customers, we have been able to give support to people who lack the most basic needs in life; around the world and right here at home.

In order to demonstrate the tangible love of Jesus, Reaching 360 seeks to empower local believers to reach their communities by first providing for their basic needs like clean water, food, and education.
